Introducing
Creepy Crawly Classroom, a whole new experience in mini
beast learning. Our fully experienced animal handler
brings alive the subject of mini beasts through hands-on
learning techniques as well as up to date audio visual
presentation. |
|
We bring to
you all sorts of tropical mini beasts to liven up our
talks. Many of these will able to be handled and experienced
at close quarters whilst others will be easily visible
both in their cages as well as on our large TV screen
that is linked up to the camera enabling a really close
up view of animals that we rarely get a chance to see. |
|
Always on the
road with us are Tarantula spiders, Scorpions, huge
hissing cockroaches, beautiful jewel beetles, exotic
stick insects, small gecko lizards, locusts, huge African
Millipedes, caterpillars and our lovely python. Many
other animals appear too when available. The talks we
give are always in line with the national curriculum
and can be tailored to suit any topic you are covering
in school. |
|
We have found
that most of our school groups like to have us on site
for the whole day. This usually means we can do a number
of talks to individual classes. The normal interactive
talk with “Meet The Animals” session takes
about an hour. You may want to increase the duration
of the talk for some children and decrease it for others,
the choice is yours. We only charge for the time we
are on site and whatever you want to do, whether it’s
5 one hour talks or 10 half hour sessions we will accommodate
you.

 |
The children
and the animals are the most important things to us.
We will not ask for participation from those children
who may be scared of any of our animals. In addition
to this we never allow the handling of any animal that
could bite or sting a child. This is why we have our
Audio Visual units in order that children can still
see the venomous creatures really close up, but without
any danger. |
|
Our talks and
visits are hugely popular and because of this we strongly
advise early booking. Each talk will be tailored to
your requirements and needs. If you are currently working
on a particular area of interest, for example habitats,
please tell us in order that we can shape our talk around
this. Remember, we have been doing talks to children
for over 20 years so nothing fazes us! In order to obtain
your preferred dates to fit in with your class work
please book early. We take bookings as much as one year
in advance. |
